2023-24 MGCC HOUSE RULES
The following is a reminder of the guidelines as they relate to House Rules and Dress Code while on the property at MGCC.
These rules are not meant to be restrictive or draconian but are in place to respect the wishes of the majority of our membership.
1) The entire Clubhouse is non – smoking.
2) Unaccompanied minors are not permitted in the Tavern, or the 19th Hole Grill.
3) Gentlemen may not wear hats in the Clubhouse with the exceptions of the locker room or 19th hole.
4) Hats must be worn forward only (to include Golf Course).
5) Loud and or unacceptable language will not be tolerated at the Club.
6) Pets are not allowed on Club property; this excludes documented service animals.
7) Metuchen Room, Tavern, and Fireside Room, jackets are preferred for men however, sportswear / golf attire in good taste is acceptable.
8) Proper sportswear/ golf attire is defined as collared shirts, turtlenecks, mock turtle, Bermuda shorts or golf slacks (cargo shorts are not allowed).
9) Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
10) Golf shoes are to be worn only in the locker room areas or the 19th Hole.
11) All children must adhere to the Dress Code.
12) Work-out gear is acceptable in the gym or locker rooms only.
13) Pool attire / bathing suits can only be worn in the pool area.
14) Appropriate denim is allowed in the Clubhouse Wednesday evenings (please use your individual judgement on appropriate).
15) Additionally, appropriate denim is allowed in the 19th Hole (ONLY) on Fridays, and Saturdays (never on the golf course).
16) When bringing a guest to the Club or sponsoring a function it is the members obligation and is incumbent on that member to inform their guests in advance of the MGCC House Rules and Dress Code.
17) All service personnel have been instructed NOT to serve members who do not adhere to these House Rule/ Dress Codes.
18) Reservations are to be made for lunch (if possible) dinner (mandatory), all dining and Club special events. Reservations are to be made on the ForeTees app.
19) Cell phones for calls cannot be used in the front lobby, Tavern, Fireside Room, Metuchen Room. Please be respectful if needing to take a call and step away/outside.
